Longaker, John Mark. Contemporary Biography. Philadelphia: University of Pennsylvania Press, 1934.
In a fun, short negative review, Howard Mumford Jones calls this "pleasant, though greatly over-written." Jones wants stronger criticism of bad biographers (like Emile Ludwig), and deeper consideration of the many issues of form, like "Guedalla 's bright style, Strachey's insight and compression, Bradford 's unitarian sketch, and so on."
